First Days Digestive Tea

Traditional Digestive Yogi Tea
This warming digestive tea tea is ideal of the first days of postpartum. The spices hold plant medicine that are excellent digestive aid, supportive to lactation and relaxant to the birthing body.
Ingredients
2 - 3" section Ginger, peeled & thinly sliced
4-6 Cardamom pods, opened
4-6 Whole Black Peppercorns
1 Cinnamon Stick
OR
1 Tbsp Powdered Cinnamon
2-3 Whole Cloves
Pinch Fennel Seeds
4 Cups Filtered water
___ Maple Syrup or Local Raw Honey
___ Black, green or red tea (optional)
___ Coconut, Hemp or other Plant-Based Milk

Directions
Add Water, Ginger, Cardamom, Peppercorns, Cinnamon, Clove, Fennel & Fenugreek in a pot to gradually bring to a boil...we don't need to rush this! .
After a vigorous boil, cover and lower heat to a nice simmer for about an hour.
After an hour, if desired, a hearty pinch of tea (or tea bag), and let stand five minutes.
When ready to enjoy, add in a few drops of maple or honey along with a hearty splash of the plant based milk.
For more powerful plant medicines to be drawn out, let it steep for an entire day before moving ahead to step 4..
