Benefits of eating properly during postpartum - no the answer is not 'diet'.
When I say that I do "Postpartum Nutrition" I am always interested in the reaction. For the term Postpartum is often misconstrued with depression. Postpartum simply boils down to the term for a mother after being pregnant. Nutrition can conjure many different meanings for people but sometimes they think that means that it's about a diet or weight loss.This could not be further from the truth. In reality, I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and I am educated to advocate the individual persons needs, not one particular diet. I work with Mothers to understand their unique needs so she can be supported and heal from the depletion of pregnancy, labor and delivery.
